What you will be doing

As Head of EisnerAmper Ireland’s International Trade market group.  You will assist companies with the execution of their internationalisation plans into, and out of, the European market by ensuring that the market and its players see you as the person to reach out to.

You can expect to be a key member of our International Business and Financial Services teams of EisnerAmper Ireland and an extended resource to assist the development and offering of the Firm.  The role of Head of International Trade is to provide strategic leadership, communications and standards of excellence in lead generation by the Firm in its international trade markets.

In this role, you will regularly visit all EisnerAmper Global member offices and their clients to keep abreast of international market forces, to foster collegiality and to ensure that member firms are meeting market expectations in their communications and commercial activities.  You will also seek to develop and grow the relationships we have with Allinial Global and its members and Premier Associates International and its members as well as any other international business ecosystem players.  Your work will regularly take you to events and locations across the globe liaising with trade bodies, professional advisors and government to evaluate and make recommendations on likely markets for our services or requirements for new or redesigned service offerings.

Primary duties

  • Be the centre of the wheel for EAI and our clients and markets to ensure relationships develop;
  • To become a constituent part of the ability of the Firm to facilitate our clients in our selected markets and to scale and grow EAI on this basis;
  • To provide best in practice processes and skills to assist partners in many aspects of their roles with a focus on growth.
  • To investigate the feasibility of new and existing markets in terms of their likelihood to generate new leads on a sustainable basis
  • To develop strategies for communicating our message to allow us to benefit from existing relationships and form new relationships in existing markets and ecosystems;
  • To improve the Firm’s ability to become “the firm” and not “a firm” in our chosen markets.
  • To ensure that the key professionals in the member firms of EisnerAmper Global are aware of the opportunities offered by being a member of various accounting networks by ensuring regular contact to learn of their needs and their clients’ needs.
  • To ensure the development of EisnerAmper Ireland’s membership of EisnerAmper Global by accurate measurement and documentation of activities and services.
  • To be the internal knowledge centre for global international trade matters such as Brexit and new US tax legislation and its likely/possible impact on international trade.

General responsibilities as a senior member of the Firm

  • Reporting directly to the Board of Directors on all matters;
  • Abiding by any statutory, fiduciary or common-law duties to the Firm;
  • Promptly making such reports to the Board in connection with the affairs of the Firm on such matters and at such times as are reasonably required;
  • Using your best endeavours to promote, protect, develop and extend the business of the Firm;
  • Professional services work consistent with developing a service line with particular emphasis on development of other team members through direct and indirect guidance. This is considered a key part of the role;
  • General services consistent with a Chartered Accountants’ Practice.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a suitably qualified professional with, inter alia, some of the following:

  • 10+ year’s International Business experience.
  • 3rd level education
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, hardworking, desire to work in a face paced environment with a highly energetic and motivated team, flexibility to adapt to varying and changing demands, ability to take initiative.
  • Comfortable with autonomy
  • Can “back themselves” and are self-confident and resilient
