Frank is a Partner and Head of the Firm’s International Business team. The approach of EisnerAmper Ireland’s dedicated International Business team is to provide our international clients with the local knowledge, ideas and support necessary to make their international scaling plans happen. Frank is particularly focused on clients in the technology, life sciences and financial services sectors doing business in Europe through Ireland. Activity in this space has increased in recent months and years as a result of matters such as regulation, growth in the world economy and Brexit.
Frank’s clients include firms at various points of their lifecycle from international “start ups” through to those funded with Seed and Venture Capital in addition to a number of Public companies. In providing these services, Frank works closely with contacts and clients of state agencies including IDA Ireland, US Trade Gov, and IE Singapore. Frank travels extensively to meet clients and their advisors and recently completed a series of lectures to the MBA students from Notre Dame University’s Mendoza College of Business on the topic of “Making Trade Happen – the Internationalisation of firms from the US to Europe”.
Frank was a co-founder of Ireland, Gateway to Europe, a successful initiative that is now in its fifth year running. Ireland, Gateway to Europe is a not-for-profit collective of Irish service providers who showcase Ireland as Europe’s premier investment location through events in the US.
Frank also leads the provision of the Firm’s Training & Consulting services. Frank leads a team which consults upon, designs and delivers bespoke professional training programs to public and private sector organisations and internally, to our own professional staff. Frank has designed and delivered professional training programs for clients including government departments, leading law firms, educational institutions, Irish corporates and international banks.
Frank is a long time lecturer on Chartered Accountants Ireland’s (“CAI”) Final Admitting Exams (“FAE”) program specialising in the delivery of the “Core” (multidisciplinary) papers. Frank has also acted as External Examiner for the Institute of Bankers and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business. Frank was a former long standing member of Chartered Accountants Ireland’s Education & Life Long Learning Committee and is currently a member of a Working Group examining Continuous Professional Development (“CPD”) for Chartered Accountants. Frank has also had a number of books and study guides on Financial Statement Analysis published by the Institute of Bankers.
Frank is a former member of the Audit Committee of the National Library of Ireland.
Frank has both a Bachelor of Business & Legal Studies degree (“BBLS”) and a Master of Accounting degree (“MAcc”) from University College Dublin.
Frank trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Big 4 Firm, where he gained significant experience advising multinationals with significant operations in Ireland. Frank also led the firm’s Learning Department in addition to holding a leadership role in the firms’ Global Learning team.
Frank, married with three young sons, is a former long standing member of Blackrock College Past Pupils’ Union committees, and is a sports addict who enjoys keeping fit and reading.
