Ronan Murphy

As Partner and Head of Internal Audit, Ronan provides Internal Audit, Advisory and Secondment Services to the Firm’s domestic and international clients. Ronan is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.

As Head of Internal Audit, Ronan works with multi-national clients delivering Internal Audit through a number of solutions tailored to each client’s needs and scale. These solutions include:

• Co-Sourcing Internal Audit Solutions – provision of individuals to assist in the execution and delivery of certain internal audit areas and to report on such to the Head of Internal Audit.
• Outsourced Internal Audit Solutions –  whereby we apply a robust risk-based approach to internal audit that enables us to review, document and test business and associated policies, processes, controls and systems relevant to the sector and industry of the client.  Depending on the sector involved, such Internal Audit Reviews are conducted as regularly as required, resulting in reports to the Board of the relevant entities providing observations and recommendations on their systems of governance and highlighting areas for enhancement.
• Global Delivery Solutions – working with EisnerAmper’s global network of Internal Audit teams to design and deliver solutions for clients involving Internal Audit teams working to meet clients’ needs and requirements of stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions.

Education, previous work experience 

Prior to joining the Firm, Ronan worked as a Fund Administration and Financial Reporting Manager with SEI Global Fund Services. Ronan holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) Degree, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from University College Dublin, a Diploma in Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance and is a Certified Ethics and Cultural Advisor.
