What you will be doing:

A career within our GRC department will be varied and challenging. Our advice and support services span such areas as Governance, Risk & Compliance Support Services where you will be supporting the activities of a busy Risk or Compliance Team such as monitoring & testing, policy review, board reporting preparation, benchmarking analysis; regulatory change; and regulatory approval.

As a Compliance Senior Manager, you can expect to be doing the following:

  • Working with Partners and Directors to lead and deliver on client engagements;
  • Stepping into the shoes of a busy compliance department you will lead and manage the delivery of the compliance plan including reviewing and updating policies in line with regulatory change, reporting on regulatory horizon scanning, delivery of compliance training, monitoring and oversight testing;
  • Lead and develop or enhancing compliance policies and procedures;
  • Lead and support internal development of materials and solutions including considering the use of technology solutions in the delivery of the firm’s service offering;
  • Act as key point of contact for our clients ensuring their deliverables are actioned timely and professionally;
  • Providing advice and support to assist our clients governance, risk and compliance;
  • Leading and driving practice management deliverables on behalf of the Team; and
  • Leading and supporting more junior members of the team in their development and delivery.

Who are we looking for?

  • The successful candidate will be an ambitious self-starter seeking a fresh challenge within a dynamic and progressive firm. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong regulatory experience in the area of investments including MiFID investments or insurance.
  • Compliance professional with at least 3 years post qualification experience in compliance and/or risk.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen sense of how to develop and articulate clear logic for decisions and policies.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Products such as Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Visio.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage and prioritise activities in line with deliverables and associated deadlines.

Key competencies:

Technical – a detailed knowledge of, and keen interest in, the Irish risk and regulatory landscape; excellent Microsoft Office skills including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint;

Initiative – ability to take the initiative, work with limited supervision (although, we will be there to support you);

Dynamism – desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly energetic and motivated team;

Flexibility – willingness to adapt to varying and changing client demands; and

Attitude – motivated, hardworking and evidence of having excelled at something in your personal life to date.
