What you will be doing:

A career within our GRC department will be varied and challenging. Our advice and support services span Governance, Risk & Compliance where you will step into the shoes of a Risk or Compliance Team and ensure activities such as monitoring & testing, policy review, board reporting preparation, benchmarking analysis; regulatory change; and regulatory approval are completed in line with the compliance framework or you could be developing governance, risk and compliance frameworks to suit the needs of our clients across insurance or investments.

As a Compliance Director, you can expect to be doing the following:

  • Working alongside the GRC partners you will be supporting the development of our GRC Servicing Offering;
  • Leading and driving client deliverables;
  • Overseeing the client engagement lifecycle to ensure deliverables are met;
  • Developing and implementing regulatory, operational and risk-based monitoring programs including maintenance of compliance policies and procedures;
  • Act as key relationship contact and act as coordinator and contact person for client engagements;
  • Promote awareness of compliance obligations and provide advice on regulatory and compliance requirements for regulated financial service providers;
  • Consider the use of technology solutions in the delivery of GRC service offering;
  • Driving and implementing a strong structure across our services, enhancing and developing our service offering and ensuring a strong internal structure and practice management; and
  • Developing, leading and supporting the wider team to ensure the team delivers a professional service offering.

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong regulatory experience in the area of investments including MiFID investments or insurance.
  • Qualified professional with 5+ years’ experience in compliance or risk, strong knowledge of compliance, regulation and risks.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen sense of how to develop and articulate clear logic for decisions and policies.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of orgranisations.
  • Highly organised with the ability to self-manage and prioritise activities in line with deliverables and associated deadlines.

Key competencies:

Technical – a detailed knowledge of, and keen interest in, the Irish risk and regulatory landscape;

Initiative – ability to take the initiative, work with limited supervision (although, we will be there to support you);

Dynamism – desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly energetic and motivated team;

Flexibility – willingness to adapt to varying and changing client demands; and

Attitude – motivated, hardworking and evidence of having excelled at something in your personal life to date.

We have adopted a hybrid working model to provide a combination of office and remote working facilities for our team. We are delighted to have the infrastructure in place to facilitate both remote working and working in the office and also to facilitate departmental meet ups, to learn from, work together and connect with our colleagues on an ongoing basis. We are located only 5 minutes walking from the Stillorgan Green Luas in Sandyford.
