We are seeking a commercially minded and self-motivated Financial Services IT Risk Assurance Manager to join our Financial Services Governance, Risk and Compliance (“GRC”) service line. The candidate should be comfortable delivering solutions across the Financial Services industry and across our service lines, in particular Internal and External Assurance and Risk Advisory.

You will work as part of a wider EisnerAmper team to determine and deliver solutions with our clients to tackle complex issues and capitalise on opportunities that will help them to grow, optimise and protect their businesses now and in the future. The provision of financial services and the associated controls firms require are evolving in new and interesting ways. Technological advancement, changing consumer behaviour, and competition are driving this change, and we are working to build suitable new assurance and advisory solutions with and for our clients. The solutions and skillset our clients require is increasingly not just traditional assurance, but also an ability to understand the opportunities offered by technology in delivering new innovative solutions and frameworks that can be deployed by our clients. Our clients seek independent advice and assurance on diverse issues including design and operation of their internal controls, security of their business-critical systems, delivery of IT enabled programmes, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship and ability to exploit business critical data. We are looking to recruit a Senior Manager who can work directly with clients to help them understand and address risks associated with the technologies that support their business.

What you will be doing:

As a GRC team member, your role will include:

  • Understanding the regulatory changes our clients face and deliver analysis and insight to help them work through these changes;
  • Developing our service offering, in particular you should have an understanding of how technical solutions can help clients solve their regulatory challenges;
  • Contribution to and leading on a day-to-day basis the successful delivery of variety of consulting engagements, from providing advice through to deployment of enabled solution. Engagements might include:
  • Assisting clients enhance their frameworks, from strategy and policy through to embedding management information systems, in areas such as;
  • Digital Operational Resilience (DORA);
  • IT Risk Management/Transformation;
  • Operational Resilience;
  • Third Party Risk Management; and
  • Artificial Intelligence (EU AI Act).
  • Assisting clients design and roll-out their Outsourcing and Operational Resilience Frameworks;
  • The development of client relationships in order to enhance our reputation and to drive new business wins;
  • Preparing high quality reports that draw out key industry and regulatory insights including outlining IT risk and compliance findings and recommendations;
  • Monitoring and testing of controls and designs of different business functions in the areas of IT risk management;
  • Developing IT risk frameworks in line with regulatory requirements across industry sectors;
  • Supporting technical queries from clients;
  • Staying abreast of financial regulations and compliance requirements set by regulatory bodies such as the CBI and European regulatory authorities. Developing presentations that are clear and impactful, translating our services into meaningful value propositions for clients;
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives and use this knowledge on assignments;
  • Assessing clients’ IT risk frameworks against peer and regulatory expectations. Translating same into actionable findings and embedding solutions addressing those findings into the clients’ day-to-day business as usual practices;
  • Helping clients to navigate relevant regulatory changes and implement required modifications to relevant policies, processes and systems;
  • Leading and managing consulting projects, ensuring all deliverables are met within scope, time and budget constraints;
  • Assisting management in strategic business development activities, including identifying client needs, opportunities and working on proposals for new business;
  • Working on client site and/ or remotely as part of client project teams; and
  • Reporting to on-site and off-site EAI Management.

Required Experience

  • 5 years’ experience as a Manager specifically in Financial Services IT/ IT Risk, in practice or industry and/ or garnered through internal audit experience.
  • Financial services industry experience, i.e. banking, insurance, funds, wealth and asset management.
  • Knowledge and experience of emerging technology, FinTech, Cloud services and Cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulation and guidelines impacting the financial services industry.
  • Good accounting knowledge and a good grasp of the COBIT fundamentals which underpin IT audits.
  • Exposure to PCAOB and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) related IT reviews which includes automated controls, IT general controls reviews and baselining system generated reports.
  • Knowledge and experience with IT risk frameworks (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO, CIA) and / or IT related regulation / guidance
  • Professional services consulting experience in the above fields.
