Our Financial Services Team

Our multi-disciplinary financial services team has a broad range of skill-sets and experience with backgrounds in the areas of banking, industry, tax and accounting. Through our team’s understanding and experience of the financial services sector we provide audit, tax, outsourcing and advisory services to clients doing business, raising capital and investing in Ireland and Europe. We work with asset management firms, family offices, banks, insurance companies and specialty finance vehicles.

Our Tax Team

We are specialists in the provision of tax solutions to the banking, structured finance, aviation financing and leasing, insurance, and asset management sectors and would like to speak to candidates with experience in any of these sectors.

As the Financial Services Tax Lead you will support the Firm’s financial services Partners in building business for the Firm, leading and managing assignments won, and developing and managing teams.

You will also lead our market development with our hedge fund and private equity client base in the US through our global network.

What you will be doing

You can expect to be a key member of our tax team providing the following services:

  • Lead and manage a challenging and varied client portfolio of structured finance vehicles, aircraft leasing and financing vehicles, funds, insurance companies and treasury vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships and market profile, both in the wider market and through our international networks, with a view to winning business for the Firm.
  • Develop and maintain new products and service offerings.
  • Develop your own career. With sustained levels of growth in our tax practice, you will have an excellent opportunity to progress, specialise and travel.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including tax, advisory and accounting specialists.
  • Managing key client account relationships to provide strong supervision and oversight.
  • Advising on Irish domestic and international corporate tax matters.
  • Managing and leading a team of graduates and seniors in the provision of all services to clients.

Who are we looking for?

  • You are AITI / CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • You have at least 5 years post qualified taxation experience.
  • You must have strong leadership skills and have a proven record in building a team with the capacity and capability to deliver.
  • Excellent delegation skills and proven ability to manage and develop junior members of the team is required.
  • You will have excellent business development and relationship management skills, whilst still maintaining the ability to take direction from Partners and Clients.
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical –a detailed knowledge of tax issues for the wider financial services sector;

Initiative – ability to take the initiative, work with limited supervision (although, we will be there to support you);

Dynamism – desire to work in a fast paced environment with a highly energetic and motivated team;

Attitude – motivated, hardworking and evidence of having excelled at something in your personal life to date.
