Paul is a Partner and Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) at EisnerAmper Ireland. The GRC teams work with domestic and international financial services clients to deliver risk and regulatory services and solutions, including internal audit.
Paul is passionate about supporting our clients’ growth ambitions in an ever-changing regulatory environment through the effective design and embedding of second line and third line functions aligned to business objectives, industry practice and regulatory expectation.
Paul has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry and as an advisor to the industry, working with leading, global Advisory and Financial Services firms. He has successfully managed complex service offerings across EMEA, Asia Pacific & Latin America and has extensive experience across a broad functional spectrum including Internal Audit; Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Management consulting solutions; Business Transformations; Technology; Operations; Finance and People.
Paul’s past industry representation includes; being a member of the Irish Funds Macro Prudential Working Group; a member of their Operations Steering Group; and the inaugural Chair of their Internal Audit Working Group. He has also been a committee member of EFAMA’s Fund Regulation, Asset Protection and Service Providers Standing Committee.
Paul has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) (Banking & Finance) Degree from University College Dublin. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with a Big 4 Firm in Ireland, transferring to London and into Consulting, his final role at a Big 4 Firm was leading their U.K. Investment Management Consulting practice. From there he moved to industry, joining a leading U.S.- based financial services firm, ultimately leading their Pensions and Insurance Client Segments internationally. Paul returned to Ireland in 2018 to set-up a Big 4 Firm’s Wealth and Asset Management Consulting practice.
