Practice Assistant Accountant-Internal Finance

We are seeking to recruit an Practice Assistant Accountant to join the Service Excellence Team in our rapidly growing Firm. Our Service Excellence Team ensures all aspects of the Firm operate smoothly and efficiently.

As Practice Assistant Accountant, you will be working closely with the other members of the Internal Finance Department to provide support to the wider Firm. This is a role that will enable you to progress your career in a highly collaborative and supportive team.

What you will be doing:

As the Practice Assistant Accountant, your role will include:

· Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts,

· Payroll,

· Preparation of MI Reports,

· Provide support to the client facing team,

· Preparation and submission of regulatory returns,

· Financial Statement Preparation and

· Ad-hoc Projects.

Who are we looking for?

· Part qualified/ qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA) or LCOI/IIA Qualification;

· Internal Audit / Audit/ Accountancy/Compliance or Risk experience within practice / industry;

· Good attention to detail and time management skills;

· Strong technical knowledge of internal auditing and or auditing;

· Ability to work to meet specific business deadlines;

· Proactive in approach to client service and business development;

· Strong IT skillset, including experience with audit and accounting software applications; and

· Thrive when working as part of a team.

Key competencies:

  • Technical – Experience with QuickBooks and practice management software is an advantage.
  • Analytical – exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; high level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS products.
  • Initiative –ability to take the initiative, work with limited supervision (although, we will be there to support you).
  • Dynamism – desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly energetic and motivated team.
  • Flexibility – willingness to adapt to varying and changing client demands.

We have adopted a hybrid working model to provide a combination of office and remote working facilities for our team. We are delighted to have the infrastructure in place to facilitate both remote working and working in the office and also to facilitate departmental meet ups, to learn from, work together and connect with our colleagues on an ongoing basis. 

We are located only 5 minutes walking from the Stillorgan Green Luas in Sandyford.
