Abdul is an Assistant Manager in the Firm’s Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) department. Abdul is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Abdul provides Internal Audit, compliance and GRC advisory services to the Boards and Managements of the firm’s domestic and international clients. These services include assisting regulated clients with third line of defence support solutions such as assisting and executing internal audit plans by developing detailed internal audit work programmes, drafting and presenting reports at board meetings and conducting follow-up reviews.
Abdul holds two Master’s degrees: one in Economic Analysis from the University of Limerick, and one in Finance from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
Abdul has worked with clients across many industries over the years as part of his Internal Audit work, including financial services. His main clients are in the public sector, banking, utilities, charities, county councils, pharmaceuticals, institutes of technologies and insurance sectors.
Prior to joining EisnerAmper Ireland, Abdul has worked in the largest Irish multinational nutrition company listed in Euronext Dublin. He has also worked in Big 4 and Big 10 firms in Ireland where he gained his expertise in conducting reviews such as; Financial and operational Internal Audit Reviews, Business Processes mapping, Procurement reviews, IT controls testing, Payroll and Bank & cash reviews including investigations work and cross-team collaborations.
Abdul is an avid traveler and loves to go hiking in summer. He takes keen interest in reading books, news stories regarding finance, global politics and economics. Abdul is multilingual and is fluent in English, Pashto, Urdu and Punjabi.
