David Carroll

David is a Partner and Head of Aviation. David provides Audit and Internal Audit services to the Firm’s Financial Services clients.

David has extensive experience leading engagements for a range of clients reporting under Irish GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP including aviation and aircraft leasing entities, securitisation vehicles (special purpose vehicles, Section 110 companies), listed financial services entities and funds.

David also leads Internal Audit engagements for regulated clients including MiFID Investment Firms, Alternative Investment Fund Managers (“AIFMs”) and Management Companies.

David currently sits on the Audit Committee of the Irish Debt Securities Association (IDSA) and the Audit Practices Sub-Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (ICPAI).

Previous work experience, education

Prior to joining EisnerAmper, David was a Fund Accountant with one of the world’s largest providers of fund administration services.

David also worked for 4 years as a Senior Financial Advisor for specialist accountancy firm and provided consultancy work on Financial Planning for numerous small to medium size accounting firms.

David is a Qualified Accountant and a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Ireland (ICPAI). 

David holds a degree in Business Management (BBA) from Campbell University, North Carolina, USA, in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from UCD School of Business. David also holds professional qualifications with the Financial Planning Standards Board of Ireland as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and with the Life Assurance Association as a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
