Paul MacCarthy

Paul is Head of Operations at EisnerAmper Ireland. Paul’s role is to ensure all aspects of the Firm operate smoothly and efficiently. The aim of the Operations Team is to support the business by providing the architecture that looks after the Firm’s data, applications, technology and security.

The Operations Team is responsible for the successful operation of the following functions: the Firm’s Quality Management System (QMS), planning, facilities, IT including collaboration software, Projects and Solutions delivery. Paul also supports engagement teams on the delivery of client services, providing advice on areas such as operational risk management.

Previously Paul worked in the Solutions Team. The purpose of the Solutions Team is to act as the focal point for all of the Firm’s technology initiatives and solutions. 

Paul and his team were responsible for overseeing and developing products for EisnerAmper Ireland and its RegTech sister company FinReg Global. They achieve this by combining design thinking, business product values, technology platforms and by utilising EisnerAmper Ireland’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). 

Working together with FinReg Global, EisnerAmper Ireland’s Solutions team combine their subject matter expertise with best in class technology platforms to deliver market-leading solutions to the financial, regulatory and professional services sectors. 

Education, previous work experience 

Paul is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) with over 20 years experience in the Financial Services and the International Property industries. 

Prior to Paul’s role as Head of Solutions with EisnerAmper Ireland, he served as a banking director and management board member of an International Investment/Development property company where he gained vast experience in sourcing, transacting and managing direct real estate transactions. Over his 13 years in this role in Eastern Europe, Paul helped create significant value for shareholders 

Paul has also spent 11 years in the Funds industry, including working as Head of Operations for SEI Investments – a large fund administration company with over €8 billion of funds under active administration at the time.
