Paul is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. Paul is a Senior Manager in the Firm’s Governance, Risk & Compliance (“GRC”) department. Paul provides compliance, internal audit and GRC advisory services to the Boards and Management of the firm’s domestic and international financial services clients, including (re)insurance companies, MiFID investment firms and structured finance entities.
These services include assisting regulated clients with second line of defence solutions such as risk function support solutions, including business risk assessments, along with compliance function support services, including the design and implementation of compliance frameworks and the development and execution of compliance plans and their related compliance monitoring programmes. Paul also provides regulated clients with third line of defence support solutions such as assisting in developing internal audit plans, executing the internal audit plans by developing detailed internal audit work programmes, and by working with regulated clients to respond to RMPs issued by the Central Bank of Ireland.
Prior to joining EisnerAmper Ireland, Paul was the financial director of a number of family businesses, including a property company and a manufacturing and logistics company. He gained valuable experience in developing successful relationships with his clients which included government bodies and financial services firms. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from Portobello College, Dublin and a Diploma in Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
