EisnerAmper Ireland hosts Quiz Night in aid of Temple Street

EisnerAmper Ireland held a staff Quiz Night in its Dublin office, in aid of Techies4TempleStreet a fundraising campaign for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
The evening was a great success and an opportunity for our staff to enjoy a night of challenging quiz questions while raising money for a worthy cause. The evening also gave the attendees an opportunity to win plenty of fantastic prizes donated generously by some local businesses in Sandyford and in the wider Dublin area.

Latest News →EisnerAmper Ireland Clodagh Byrne’s Abseil for MS Ireland

On Saturday 1 June 2019, Clodagh Byrne, Assistant Manager in the Firm’s Risk & Regulatory department, with her mother, took part in a charity abseil in Croke Park to raise money for MS Ireland. Prior to the abseil, Clodagh raised over €1,200 in sponsorship, a portion of which was donated by the Partners and her colleagues in EisnerAmper Ireland.
MS Ireland is the only national organisation providing information, support and advocacy services to the MS community. MS Ireland works with people with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers and a range of key stakeholders including health professionals, students and others interested in or concerned about multiple sclerosis.

On Friday, July 5 2019, EisnerAmper Ireland will be taking part in the Techies4TempleStreet treasure trail in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital. EisnerAmper Ireland has entered three teams into the charity event and is taking part in a number of fundraisers this summer in aid of Temple Street Hospital which cares for 150,000 children in Ireland each year. The teams have initiated great fundraisers including a sponsored walk from our offices in Sandyford to Temple Street Children’s Hospital, a bake sale and an office quiz night to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
Techies4TempleStreet, now in its 5th year, sees over 1,600 members of the Irish business and tech communities taking to the streets of Dublin for a unique treasure trail, combining outdoor activities with digital media challenges whilst making an impact to the lives of sick children across Ireland. Latest News →EisnerAmper Ireland hosts CPR training with the Irish Heart Foundation

On Thursday 9 May 2019, EisnerAmper Ireland hosted a CPR training session with the Irish Heart Foundation. We were delighted to be able to offer such important training to our staff members. Staff were given instructor and video led training in an hour long session and were able to practice their CPR skills on manikins provided.
Every year, 5,000 people in Ireland die from sudden cardiac arrest and by starting CPR on someone, their chance of survival can be doubled making CPR an essential life skill to have.

On Friday, 22 March 2019, EisnerAmper Ireland hosted a coffee morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society for Daffodil Day 2019. We were delighted to support such an excellent cause while enjoying some delicious cakes bought and made by our EisnerAmper Ireland team.
Every year Daffodil Day sees thousands of volunteers selling daffodil pins and flowers on streets, in businesses and homes across Ireland; or hosting a Daffodil Day Coffee Morning to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society’s nationwide care services for those with, and affected by, cancer in Ireland. Latest News →EisnerAmper Ireland staff attend CASSD Gala Ball 2019

The Chartered Accountants Student Society of Dublin (CASSD) hosted their annual Ball on Saturday, 9 March in The Ballsbridge Hotel. Sarah Ryan, a member of EisnerAmper Ireland’s International Business team, is currently Treasurer of CASSD and played a key role in organising the event, which is one of the biggest in the student calendar each year.
CASSD plays a vital role in the student body, providing a link between students and the institute as well as organising numerous events throughout the year.
This year, CASSD chose ‘Empower the Family’ as their sponsored charity. ‘ETF’ supports disadvantaged families in Ireland through education, supporting young disadvantaged single parents in Ireland, with the determination and ability, to successfully complete university. EisnerAmper Ireland was delighted to sponsor staff tickets in addition to donating a spot prize for such a worthy cause.
The evening kicked off with a Prosecco reception, where attendees were greeted by a live saxophone player. The smooth jazz provided a welcoming and relaxed atmospheric back-drop as students took pictures next to a giant, illuminated flower wall.
In the dining hall, students were met by an extravagant ballroom with a goody bag full of treats on each chair. A raffle took place during the dinner with Michéal O’Cualain, a member of EisnerAmper Ireland’s Tax Team winning a Leinster Rugby Jersey, signed by the entire Leinster team. With the band set up, everyone got dancing until late into the night. A great time was had by all.

We are delighted to announce that EisnerAmper Ireland is participating in Saint John of God’s Community Service Scheme. The Scheme was established in Ireland to provide services in the areas of intellectual disability, adult mental health and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Saint John of God is an international organisation providing a range of health and social care services for children and adults. They work in partnership with government departments, health and educational authorities and other statutory and voluntary agencies.

EisnerAmper Ireland has taken part in two charity initiatives over the Christmas period, raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and St. Vincent de Paul.
On Thursday 13 December, EisnerAmper Ireland held a Christmas Jumper Day, with EisnerAmper Ireland’s staff wearing Christmas Jumpers to work in aid of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a children’s charity that grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions to give hope, strength and joy in over 45 countries worldwide. The event was a huge success and we have raised over 200 euro so far. EisnerAmper Ireland are delighted to support such a great charity, especially at Christmas time.
EisnerAmper Ireland has also supported St. Vincent de Paul (SPV) again this Christmas by taking part in the Giving Tree campaign. SVP provide local families in need with support and Christmas gifts for children. We are delighted to be involved in such a great cause during the holiday season.

On 7 December 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland hosted its annual Christmas Party in The Greenery, Donnybrook, Dublin 4 where all staff enjoyed a three-course meal and drinks. The agenda for the evening included EisnerAmper Ireland’s second annual ‘DNA Awards’ for 2018.
The awards were presented to EisnerAmper Ireland’s staff members who have illustrated our DNA in action in 2018. The winners were awarded with a crystal plaque to celebrate their achievements by Frank Keane, Head of Client Internationalisation and Human Resources Partner.
The five elements of our DNA are Niche Markets, Specialist Services, Ethical High Performance, Design Thinking and Global Connectivity. The winners for 2018 were:

- Ethical High Performance – Ciaran Brady

On Friday, 30 November 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland’s Joseph Halligan joined Rob Mirsky, Managing Partner of the EisnerAmper UK office and Edo Pollack, Director of the EisnerAmper Israel office, at the Help for Children Annual London Benefit Dinner in the InterContinental, Park Lane, London.
Help for Children is a charity organisation which is run by leading members of the hedge fund industry. The charity focuses on protecting and healing children from the trauma of abuse. The EisnerAmper Ireland Academy 2018, the Firm’s annual all-staff two-day residential training programme, was held for the seventh year running in Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford, on 15 & 16 November 2018.
The residential programme is specifically designed for our professionals to accelerate their “on the job” learning and to facilitate EisnerAmper Ireland staff on the journey towards becoming not just great accountants but exceptional advisers and practitioners. Participants acquire the necessary core awareness, knowledge, skills and confidence to successfully further their careers in practice.
The theme of this year’s programme was ‘Delivering Quality Solutions’ and included workshops, technical training, team building and knowledge exercises reaffirming EisnerAmper Ireland’s commitment to achieving and maintaining consistent excellence in quality standards.
Speakers included Fergal Murray, former Guinness Brew Master; Joanne Powell, a Learning and Assessment Professional and Business School Accreditation Advisor with QED: The Accreditation Experts; and Peter Cogan, Partner with EisnerAmper US, Co-chair of the Firm’s Financial Services Group and Chairman of EisnerAmper Global.
Participants also enjoyed some downtime where they could avail of the award-winning facilities the hotel has to offer and also enjoyed a three-course meal in the Seafield Clubhouse restaurant.

On 7 November 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland joined thousands of runners to support ongoing research to find a cure for paralysis.
Team EisnerAmper was led by Brian Hillery, Partner, Advisory and also consisted of Barry Horan, Warren Bridge, Nina Zafra, Michéal Ó Cualáin, Matthew McCarthy, Stephen Murtagh, Dagan Morris, Zoe Moloney and Jonathon Squire. The Dublin event left from Custom House Quay at 8.00pm.
Run in the Dark is the main fundraiser for the Mark Pollock Trust, which believes we can cure paralysis in our lifetime. Unbroken by blindness in 1998, adventure athlete Mark Pollock was left paralysed in 2010. Now, with the team at the Mark Pollock Trust, he is exploring the intersection where humans and technology collide, catalysing collaborations that have never been done before and unlocking $ 1 billion to cure paralysis in our lifetime.
