Diarmaid O’Keeffe to address Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants at Credit Union Auditor Update

Diarmaid O’Keeffe, Partner and Head of Financial Services at EisnerAmper Ireland, will address the Annual Credit Union Auditor Update hosted by Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  The update will be held in Chartered Accountants House on 27 September 2017.

Diarmaid will be discussing issues arising in practice relating to the application of FRS 102 to Credit Union financial statements. Other speakers will include Anna Marie Finnegan of the Registry of Credit Unions, Mark Kenny and Conal Kennedy of Chartered Accountants Ireland in addition to John Callaghan of Moore Stephens.

EisnerAmper Ireland host “Le NETwork” with the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce

On Tuesday 12 September, EisnerAmper Ireland hosted “Le NETwork”, the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce monthly working group dedicated to SMEs and entrepreneurs, at the Beacon Hotel, Sandyford.  Senator Neale Richmond, Spokesman on EU Affairs and Chair of the Brexit Committee in Seanad Éireann, was the guest speaker of the day.

Gavin Redmond, Supervisor in EisnerAmper Ireland’s International Business team, Barry Horan and Thomas Territt, both members of EisnerAmper Ireland’s International Business team, attended the event.  Gavin delivered a presentation to the participants on ‘Making Trade Happen’, giving an overview of EisnerAmper Ireland’s International Business team and the services that we provide.

EisnerAmper Ireland launch Facebook Careers Page

EisnerAmper Ireland recently launched its Facebook Careers page and to mark the occasion a launch party was held for all staff.

The ‘EisnerAmper Ireland Careers’ page has been created to communicate with university students, graduates and others interested in pursuing a career in accounting.  Our team will be attending graduate fairs at campuses across Ireland in September and October to meet with students and promote our firm’s excellent graduate training programme.

Our Facebook page has also coincided with the launch of our updated ‘training brand’ which will be used in future communications relating to our recruitment and training & development initiatives.

On Thursday 31 August, EisnerAmper Ireland hosted its annual Corporate Golf Challenge in Powerscourt Golf Club, Enniskerry.  The event was a great success and we were delighted to have the opportunity for members of our team to connect with so many clients and friends of our Firm.  A total of 15 teams spent a very enjoyable afternoon playing golf, which was followed by a BBQ and refreshments in the Clubhouse.

EisnerAmper Ireland staff celebrate Summer Party 2017

On Friday 11 August, EisnerAmper Ireland took all of its staff on a mini-cruise holiday followed by dinner and drinks in a mystery ‘exotic’ location.

The EAI team enjoyed an afternoon boat tour from Dun Laoghaire East Pier to Howth, Co. Dublin, followed by dinner and drinks overlooking the sea with a view of Ireland’s Eye.  The evening was a great success and provided an opportunity for newer members of the team to get to know the rest of the Firm, and for all employees to enjoy a break from working hard on behalf of our clients.

EisnerAmper Ireland’s tax & international business team yesterday hosted a table at Ladies’ Day at the Dublin Horse Show in the RDS.  Cormac Doyle, Partner & Head of Tax and  & Jennifer Kelly, Partner and Head of Outsourcing were joined by clients, contacts and our colleagues in IDA Ireland.  The day was centred around the national & international show jumping competitions and was a great opportunity to network and socialise.

EisnerAmper Ireland take part in Techies4TempleStreet 2017

EisnerAmper Ireland is proud to have been a participant in the 2017 Techies4TemplesStreet event, which took place on Friday 7 July 2017.  Techies4Templestreet is a unique charity event that brings together the technology community and its partners to network and compete in an intellectually challenging treasure trail while making an impact on the lives of the next generation of techies.

The EAI team, led by Jennifer Kelly, Partner and Head of Outsourcing and consisting of EisnerAmper’s staff, clients and contacts, met in Dublin’s RDS with the other participating teams.   The teams were faced with questions, clues and different challenges and used Twitter on the day to record their progress.

The event attracted over 1,300 participants from Ireland’s tech and business communities, ranging from start-ups to MNCs.  It was a fantastic opportunity to network and compete in an intellectually challenging event while simultaneously helping to support a good cause.

EisnerAmper LLP was named as a Top 10 Fund Auditor servicing Hedge Funds in Preqin’s 2017 special report on Hedge Fund Service Providers.  EisnerAmper placed number 6 on the list.  Preqin is a leading source of data and intelligence for the alternative assets industry and operates from its headquarters in London, with offices in New York, Singapore and San Francisco.

The report presented an analysis of the latest trends among hedge fund service providers including fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, auditors, law firms and fund marketers.  EisnerAmper was also named by Preqin as one of the top five fund auditors by the proportion of hedge funds launched in the period of 2016 to the first quarter of 2017.

Ray Kelly attends the 10-year anniversary of EisnerAmper Cayman

Ray Kelly, Partner at EisnerAmper Ireland, attended the 10-year anniversary celebrations of EisnerAmper Cayman.  The celebration event was held at the Westin Hotel Grand Cayman and was attended by over 200 guests.  The guest speaker on the evening was Adam Cheyer, former Director of Engineering in Apple’s iPhone group and founder of Siri.

Prior to the main event, EisnerAmper Cayman also hosted a dinner for all EisnerAmper Global attendees in the Tasting Rooms in Grand Cayman.  This event was attended by Ray Kelly, the EisnerAmper Cayman team and a number of our EisnerAmper LLP colleagues from New York, including Charly Weinstein, CEO of EisnerAmper LLP.

EisnerAmper Ireland hosted its first Alumni Reunion event of the year on 31 May 2017 in Odessa Rooftop Bar, Dublin 2.

The evening was a great success and provided an opportunity to introduce some of the newer members of our team, including our new Partners, Jennifer Kelly and Tom Brennan.  It was a pleasant evening where both current and former team members enjoyed good conversation, networking and food and drinks, in the heart of our capital city.
