EisnerAmper Ireland supports Help for Children

On Thursday 21 June 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland’s Ray Kelly, Partner and Head of Funds; Gavin Lee, Head of International Trade; and Robert Mirksy, Head of EisnerAmper’s London office, hosted a table at the Help for Children 5th Annual Dublin Gala Dinner in the Mansion House, Dublin 2.

The dinner was a great opportunity to help support a fantastic cause and also to enjoy an evening of food, refreshments and networking with our colleagues in the Alternative Investment Funds & Private Equity industries.

EisnerAmper Ireland supports Temple Street Children’s Hospital

On Friday, June 15 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland held a bake sale in its Dublin office in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital. EisnerAmper’s staff and colleagues in the local business community assisted in baking some delicious treats in aid of the children’s hospital in Dublin.

EisnerAmper Ireland is taking part in a number of events this summer in aid of Temple Street Hospital, which cares for 150,000 children each year in Ireland, and will be taking part in Techies4TempleStreet this summer.

Techies4TempleStreet, now in its 4th year, sees over 1,500 members of the Irish business and tech communities taking to the streets of Dublin for a unique treasure trail, combining outdoor activities with digital media challenges whilst making an impact to the lives of sick children across Ireland. Gavin Lee appointed as Head of International Trade at EisnerAmper Ireland


We are delighted to announce the appointment of Gavin Lee as Head of International Trade at EisnerAmper Ireland.  As Head of International Trade, Gavin’s role is to help our clients and markets “Make Trade Happen”.  Leveraging his first-hand experience of developing and conducting business in more than 40 countries worldwide, with specialist EMEA market knowledge, Gavin will help companies do business in Europe using Ireland as a base.

Gavin brings with him 20+ years senior management experience in the financial services, telecommunications and life sciences sectors.  Prior to joining EisnerAmper Ireland, Gavin worked with Digicel, Davy, Bimeda and Forte Healthcare, most recently as Country Manager.

On June 3-5, Cormac Doyle, Partner, Head of Tax and Gavin Lee, Head of International Trade at EisnerAmper Ireland attended the Allinial Global EMEIA Regional Conference held in the Hilton in St. Julian’s, Malta.

Speakers included Alan Wink of EisnerAmper LLP, Andy Coghlan of Wilkins Kennedy LLP and Pascal Ferron, Walter France, who presented on how to Develop an M&A business in your firm; William Johnson, Managing Director of Openside, on how to understand the mind of the client and its implications; and Richard Seargant, Managing Director of Principle Point who spoke about recent digital trends and the implications of cloud computing.

EisnerAmper Ireland hosts iNED Forum I 2018 with Insurance Ireland

On Thursday 17 May 2018, EisnerAmper Ireland & Insurance Ireland hosted the first in a series of iNED fora in the St. Stephen’s Green Hibernian Club, Dublin 2. The format for the event was that of a workshop and the primary focus was on the role of the INED through different prisms – those of INED representatives, external assessors and regulatory and legal specialists.

Dave Montgomery, Partner, Head of Risk & Regulatory at EisnerAmper Ireland acted as the MC for the afternoon and the panelists included:

Pat Cloran appointed as Partner and Head of Risk & Quality

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Pat Cloran as Partner and Head of Risk & Quality in EisnerAmper Ireland.  This appointment represents a further strengthening of our Risk & Quality function, which supports our delivery of advice and audit services to the Financial Services, International Trade and Government markets.  Pat also adds significant experience, expertise, ideas and perspectives to our group of 11 Partners and c.100 staff.

Pat’s role includes maintaining a centre of excellence for audit and financial reporting technical knowledge, addressing technical training needs and managing the Firm’s compliance requirements.  In carrying out this role, Pat leverages his extensive experience of building collaborative working relationships with clients, firms and regulators both locally and internationally. 

Prior to joining EisnerAmper Ireland, Pat was Head of Quality Assurance in the Professional Standards department (previously Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board) of Chartered Accountants Ireland for five years.  In addressing the strategic objective of ensuring that Chartered Accountants provide services of the highest quality, competently, honestly and with integrity, Pat led a team of inspectors that carried out monitoring visits to member firms.

Prior to working with Chartered Accountants Ireland, Pat spent 14 years in practice with PwC in Dublin and Sydney, providing audit and regulatory assurance services to the firm’s financial services clients including banks, insurance companies, stockbrokers and property trusts.

The conference, which is now in its 20th year, is a landmark in the international funds industry calendar and attracts a wide range of participants from across the international investment funds community. The conference brings together prominent industry speakers to discuss current issues and challenges facing the international investment funds industry. The event included insightful presentations, keynote talks and panel discussions from internationally recognised industry experts and looked towards providing Irish solutions for fund managers globally.
